Also: Christian Solidarity International was among the sixty-eight groups and experts who signed a recent open letter to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, asking him to return Nigeria to its place on the U.S.' list of "Countries of Particular Concern" for religious persecution.

Among many other cases, the letter highlights the case of Deborah Yakubu, a Christian university student in Sokoto who was lynched on her campus in May, and Luka Binniyat, a Christian journalist who is being persecuted by the Kaduna state government for his reporting on atrocities committed against Christians in his home state.
