Topic: Encourage One Another
Thessalonians 5 v 14 -17
And we urge you brothers and sisters admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone, rejoice always pray without ceasing
Lessons from our anchor scripture;
- We are to care enough about others and we are also encouraged to prayerfully confront and correct those who don’t behave properly.
- Encourage the faint hearted. allow the Lord to open our eyes to the possibilities of helping those who may not be as strong as we are.
- Help the weak, we can help those who are weak in faith to grow deeper in the word and prayer. We can encourage those who are weak toward temptation as well.
- Be patient with them all. Every believer Grows at a different level and different stages. We must learn to be patient with this that grow at a slower pace than us.
We must remember that we are all in one journey with the Lord but at different points in the journey. We must bear one another’s burden in Christ.
May the Lord guide you as you fulfil his purpose in your relationship with others in Jesus name. Amen
James 4 v 7 -8
Submit yourselves therefore to God resist the devil and he will flee from you draw near to God and he will draw near to you
Submit to God as he has cared for us, provided for us, protected us and guided us even when we were yet sinners, Christ died for us and for this purpose, we must also care for one another even when they don’t deserve it.
Prayer:
Father continue to increase your grace upon our life oh Lord break us and mould us for your glory in Jesus’ name amen.
