Aregbesola Craves Tinubu's  Defeat - APC Youth Leader Alleges

Rauf Aregbeshola, the Minister of Interior has been accused by the Osun Youth Wing of APC for deliberately working for the disintegration and failure of the APC.

The Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Osun chapter, has claimed that the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, and his supporters are working towards making the party lose the presidential election and other future election in the state.

In the light of the argument, the state APC Youth Leader, Goke Akinwemimo spoke bitterly about the treacherous move by Rauf Aregbeshola against the party, APC. GOKE alleged that Aregbesola sponsored the Tuesday protest to blackmail the leadership of APC in Osun and was also working towards the defeat of the party’s presidential flag bearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the 2023 polls.

In furtherance of the allegation by Akinwemimo, he insisted that the minister sponsored groups to ensure the defeat of the party, at the just concluded Osun governorship election.

Goke's statement read partly, “Aregbesola, under the auspices of The Osun Progressives (TOP) embarked on what can be best described as public charade and disgrace in Osogbo, capital Osun State to blackmail the state leadership of our party, All Progressive Congress.

It was contained in Goke's statement appealing to APC national leadership to beware of Aregbeshola's trechery and disloyalty to the party. He said

“We are saying these to alert the national leadership of our dear party that Aregbesola and his allies are no more with APC. Apart from the fact that their previous actions have shown that they are working for opposition, they are equally determined to ensure that we lose other future elections including the presidential election. They are out to spell doom for our party. But we are prepared to resist them and they will not succeed.

Goke alleged that Aregbeshola does not only wish the failure for the party but also to see the down fall of the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the 2023 election. He said

“For instance, the charade called protest yesterday was with the support of opposition PDP to prepare ground for their unholy alliance ahead of the future election by taking over Osun APC in Osun completely and conveniently hand it over to PDP to ensure the defeat of our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as earlier boasted by Aregbesola and his allies.”
