Abducted Edo APC Chairman Escapes From Captivity

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ward 9, Orhionmwon Local Government of Edo State, Mr Godwin Aigbogun, has been confirmed to have escaped from his abductors’ captivity on Wednesday.

The Nigerian Voice had reported that the APC Chieftain was kidnapped on his way from his farm on Monday evening by hoodlums suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.

The kidnappers were said to have demanded for N5 million ransom from his family.

Meanwhile, the state Publicity Secretary, Barrister Peter Uwadiae, confirmed his escape to newsmen on Wednesday morning and said that he hasd since rejoined his family.

“I can confirm to you that he has escaped from the kidnappers’ den. I don’t know how he did it but I must commend him for his bravery. The APC family in the state is happy about this. He is now with the family,” he said.
