Labour Party Nominates Doyin Okupe As Vice-President Candidate

Labour Party has submitted the name of the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr Doyin Okupe, to the Independent National Electoral Commission as the running mate of Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election.

Okupe made this known during an interviewed on Channels TV programme, Politics Today.

“I stand in as the vice presidential candidate of the party. “Labour party has submitted my name as the VP of the party”, he said.

Recall that INEC had slated the deadline for the submission of names of vice presidential candidate of all political party involved in the general elections to Friday June 17.

Okupe, while speaking, vowed that, Labour Party would ensure it returns Nigeria to its rightful owners, noting that Nigerians have suffered so much in the hands of APC.
