Presidency: APC To Screen Rochas Okorocha, 10 Others Today

The ruling All Progressives Congress APC Presidential Screening Committee led by Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has scheduled to screen Senator Rochas Okorocha and 10 others today.

Okorocha, a senator representing Imo West, however, is currently detained in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N2.9bn fraud.

As the party slated to screen him today for presidential seat, it is not known yet whether the EFCC would allow him go for the screening or if the screening panel would make special concessions for him.

Meanwhile, others to be screened include, Ahmed Lawan, Mr Tein Jack-Rich, Dr Ogbonnaya Christopher Onu, Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state and Chief Ikeobasi Mokelu.

Recall APC had earlier on Monday night screened about 12 aspirants.

The screened aspirants included; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, Gov. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Mrs Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, Pastor Tunde Bakare and Senator Robert Ajayi Borroffice.

Others are Pastor Nicholas Stanley, Gov. Dave Umahi, Senator Ken Nnamani, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi and Senators Ibikunle Amosun and Ahmad Sani Yarima.
