Headies Awards: Portable To Tender Apology Or Face Disqualification

Smooth Promotions, the chief partnering organization of the popular Headies Awards to its Twitter handle to send a memo to the dance singer, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable.

It announced that the Headies dissociates itself and any activities relating to the Awards, from any form of violence, abuse, threat or intimidation, and officially request that popular fast-rising Nigerian artiste, @portablebaeby retract his statement in a video published on his social media platform on May 25, 2022, that insinuates acting in a violent manner to other nominated artistes.

The viral video which was posted on his social handles as at 12.05 pm on May 25th where Portable threatened to kill or mete violence on anybody who emerges winner in the category in which he was nominated.

However, the artist has been demanded to retract his statement by releasing a video or written apology in the next 24hours or face disqualification from the forthcoming awards ceremony.

The Headies awards encourages all nominees and fans to celebrate and support each other, in the music industry.
