"i Am The Only One That Can Defeat APC In The Presidential Election"', Tambuwal Tells Delegates.
Sokoto state Governor and Peoples Democratic Party Presidential aspirant for 2023 presidential election, Aminu Tambuwal said he was the only one that can defeat APC during the Presidential election, and that he was the most qualified among all the aspirants in the two dominant parties; APC and PDP .
Tambuwal spoke in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital during his meeting with PDP delegates in the state and party leaders ahead of the party’s Presidential primaries.
He said that he has garnered experience for years as a Lawyer, three term former House Representatives member which he served as a Speaker, Governor, describing himself as a Pan-Nigerian, who understands the country and who can win election for the PDP.
He called for continued peace and unity in the party, stressing that it was some of weapons that can defeat the APC.
“We must remain united in Ebonyi State and in Nigeria if we must win elections and we must nominate candidate that knows the road and a credible, competent candidate that has the capacity to win elections along the other region and members of the party.
“It is important that by the Grace of God we have a Presidential candidate that together with rest leaders of the party and other members of the party and people of goodwill in this country can win the Presidency of this country, Nigeria; someone who is electable, somebody who is at home. When he comes to Ebonyi, he is at home, when he gets to Kwara, he is at home, when he gets to Lagos, he is at home, when he gets to Akwa-Ibom, he is at home and when he gets to Borno, he is at home because he has network of friends and he has associated with virtually very many leaders and people in this country.
“I am such a candidate and by the grace of God, when you give me the flag of our party, I have the capacity, I have the competent, I have the character and I have the right temperament to provide leadership.
"Even the people in APC know that once I emerge as PDP candidate by the Grace of God APC will collapse and we will win the elections. The reasons are not farfetched. Check all the aspirants in the two key political parties and our network of friendship. I am not talking about height, I am not talking about size, I am talking about someone who is a Pan-Nigerian, who understands this country and who can be put forward to win election for our party.
“I have been in the House of Representatives for 12 years. So, I understand the judiciary as a Lawyer, I have been a legislator, I understand them. I understand art of government and I understand the executive arm of government. Not only that, I have been a Legal Adviser of the party in my state, so I understand party.
" I am a NEC member of the party, I am a member of BoT of the party. So, I understand the language of party people, when you talk to me as your President even through sign language, I understand it and you need a President that can relate with the party and implement the party manifesto, you need a President that understand the executive, that will not be doing trail on error”, he said.
