The newly appointed Federal and FCT High Court judges who were just swore- in have been charged by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Tanko Muhammad to brace up for challenges ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The Chief Justice who made the disclosure while swearing-in the newly appointed judges at the Supreme Court complex, stated that: “There’s nothing we’ve not seen or heard of before, but you should be ready to see and hear more, especially as we approach election season in 2023.”

He noted even when judicial officers do not possess any supernatural powers to perform wonders, yet, the society within which they operate might demand the impossible from judges.

“We’re all humans, no doubt, but you must display the humanism in you by doing those extraordinary things that people would say you cannot do.

“You can only run, but certainly won’t have the capacity to hide from the long arm of our disciplinary apparatus,” he added.

The new judges of the Federal High Court included; Bala Usman, Emmanuel Gakko, Aminu Garba, Musa Sulaiman Liman, Ahmad Gama Mahmud, and Segun-Bello Mabel while Joseph Aina is appointed for the FCT High Court.
