Governor Seyi Makinde Presents Staff of Office to Lekan Balogun as New Olubadan

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has presented the staff of office to Oba Lekan Balogun as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The governor made this historic development during the new monarch’s coronation ceremony held today in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The event was graced by many prominent Nigerians including: Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governor Kayode Fayemi, the Chairman, Nigerian Governors’ Forum, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun,Ondo State Deputy Governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa and Osun State Deputy Governor, Benedict Alabi.

Others were Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo; the Deputy Chairman of Oyo State Council of traditional rulers, and the Ààrẹ Ọ̀nà Kakanfò of Yorùbáland, Otunba Gani Adams, and other eminent indigenes of Ibadanland.
