IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Sues Kenyan Government to court over Extradition To Nigeria

By The Nigerian Voice

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has dragged the Kenyan Government to court.

Kanu instituted a case against the Kenyan Government through his legal team in Kenya.

The Special Counsel to the IPOB leader, Aloy Ejimakor, disclosed this via his Twitter handle on Thursday.

“UPDATE: Extraordinary Rendition: Onyendu’s legal team has filed a suit in Kenya against the Kenyan government,” Ejimakor wrote.

Kanu was recently rearrested in Kenya and repatriated to Nigeria. The Kenyan High Commissioner, Wilfred Machage, refuted the claim that Kenyan police arrested Kanu.

Despite the denial, IPOB had continued to accuse Kenya of playing a role in Kanu’s rearrest. Kanu is expected in court in October. The Nigerian government primarily charged him with treason.
