Three MASSOB Members feared killed by Police

Kenneth Anyawu, Olu Eja, Awam Sunday, all members of the Movement for the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra, MASSOB may have been killed by officials of the Nigeria Police, family sources told pointblanknews.com.

The trio who are said to be leaders of MASSOB in Aba, Okigwe and Enugu provinces were allegedly arrested by police authorities in Abia state during a meeting of the group between January and February 2010 and have since not returned to their families. 

Family sources told pointblanknews.com that between January and February, 2010 the trio was at a meeting of MASSOB in Aba when a team of police men led by an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, swooped on the group and arrested the three leaders. 

According to the family source who would not want to be named because for fear of arrest “we have searched in all the police stations in Abia State and even gone to Enugu but no one have told us where they are.” 

“If Eja and his friends are dead, we want to know, if they are detained somewhere like others we also want to know because we are all worried.”

The family source added that “they had all met in our house here in Aba before they went to their office for another meeting. We saw them all and they were all lively and healthy but since then nobody have seen or heard from them. 

MASSOB, led by Mr. Ralph Uwazulike who is still being detained by the Government is agitating for the sovereign state of Biafra.

Members of the group are constantly being arrested and sometimes killed by the police for championing rallies in the eastern part of Nigeria aimed at seceding.
