Mother of erstwhile President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaja Laruba Abdullahi was kidnapped from her palatial home in Idah at 6.45 pm in Kogi State and taken to an unknown destination.Sportinglife As of 8.45pm when Sportinglife spoke with Aderigbibe, no word had been heard from the gun men.

He revealed that Lulu was in Abuja when the incident occurred, stressing that the former NFF president has remained calm and wouldn't want to discuss the issue nor does he intend to report to the police in order not to endanger the life of his mum.

Lulu was impeached last week by the Congress of Nigerian football following an early exercise by nine members of the NFF on ground of not carrying them along in the course of Nigeria's participation in the concluded 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

He had been locked in battle for the soul of Nigeria's football with chieftains of the National Sports Commission (NSC) leading to threats by the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) that they would ban the country from international soccer competitions after President Goodluck Jonathan, on the advice of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) headed by Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi recommended that Nigeria should withdraw from all football competitions for two years.

Meanwhile, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Monday, raided the Accounts and Administration department of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to fish for document.

It was gathered that the operatives got to the NFF office at Wuse zone 7, Abuja, at about11.00 a.m. and left at 3.30 p.m.

It was learnt that more senior officials of the NFF would soon be summoned once the seized documents had been carefully analysed.

The commission had summoned the impeached former president of the NFF, Sani Lulu, his impeached deputy Amanze Uchegbulam, former chairman, technical committee, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, and the incumbent secretary general of the NFF, Mr. Bolaji Ojo-Oba.
