Anambra Infrastructure Tour: Clergy Men Laud Gov. Obiano.

Clergy men of the Anglican Communion in Awka Diocese have commended the state government for actualizing the vision of a befitting Airport and a state of the art International Conference Centre for the state.

The clergy men gave the commendations when they joined Governor Willie Obiano and the APGA Deputy Governorship Candidate Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim on a facility tour of the Airport and the International Conference Centre in Umueri and Awka respectively over the weekend.

Speaking on behalf of the clergy men, Rev. Canon Jason Onyeakagbusi, the Vicar Church of Holy Spirit, Awka, Awka diocese thanked the Governor for availing them the opportunity to join him to see things for themselves, while describing the projects as timely, said the projects will turn the economy of the state around. The clergy men also described the airport as one of the best airport in the country after a taking a tour of the airport runway, the tower, the terminal building and the fire house. They offered prayers for the governor and the state, especially for a peaceful transition to a governor who will sustain the legacy the governor is leaving behind.

The governor in his remarks was optimistic that the airport will be fully operational in October as the fire fighting trucks needed for its full take off would have arrived the state. He also called on Ndi Anambra to vote for APGA in the November 6th Governorship Election as the only way the economic growth of the State will be sustained is under the Soludo/Ibezim ticket.

Also in the entourage of the governor were the former Chief of Army Staff and current Nigerian Ambassador to Benin Republic, Gen. TY Buratai (Rtd), the National President of Anambra Association of Town Unions (ASATU), Chief Titus Akpudo and the leaders of the Non-indigenes in the state.
