PDP Zonal Working Committee Meeting Of South East Zone Ends With Resolutions On Topical Issues
Critical Of Alleged 'Personal Militia' Security Outfit Created By Gov. Umahi In Ebonyi State
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), zonal working Committee of South East Zone held a meeting at the Zonal headquarters of the party in Enugu. Topical national and zonal issues were delibrated on and resolutions reached and adopted.
On the front burner of their delibrations was the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election. The Committee expressed the determination of the party to secure victory, come 6th November 2021 election in Anambra State. In sympathy to South East States where violence has claimed lives, it was agreed that the party's flag will fly half-mast between 7th of May to 14th of May 2021, in respect to victims.
The meeting frowned at the parochial reason for setting up of Ebonyi State version of 'ebubeagu' which it says was 'personal militia', intended to hunt perceived enemies of the governor.
