The National Leader of the Biafra Nations League (BNL), Princewill Chimezie Richard, has blamed the Imo State Government for the attack on the state prison and police headquarters.

Addressing newsmen in Owerri, capital city of Imo State today, the BNL Leader said that many prisoners languishing in prison are innocent of what they're being accused of. He hinted that the police would keep cases without charging it to court, adding that the group will not condemn the attack.

The Imo State born Pro Biafra Leader also called on the Governor of the State, Hope Uzodinma to resign for peace to reign in Imo State. He said "Uzodinma invoked trouble when he invited the military to Orlu to massacre innocent people in the name of searching for the IPOB/ESN."
