Biafra Nations League, BNL has warned that the forceful takeover of land in Abba clan, Nwangele local government area of Imo State by the federal government to establish ruga settlement will be resisted. Speaking to newsmen in Owerri, Imo State today, the National Leader of BNL, Princewill Chimezie Richard who hails from Abba accused the Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma of conspiring with some persons in the four autonomous communities in Abba to give out land for ruga.

He said the use of force to acquire lands for Fulani people will lead to bloodshed as the people of the town are ready to fight to protect their culture and inheritance.

"I will not accept this nonsense, it happened in many towns and we resisted. It cannot happen in my own town, never. We will rather die while defending our inheritance than allow enemies to defile our land. We have nothing in common with Fulani and so we cannot live together with them".
