Lekki Toll Gate Shooting: DJ Switch Blasts Minister Lai Mohammed Says He Is Misinformed

Singer and disc jockey, Obianuju Catherine Udeh who goes by the moniker, DJ Switch has called out Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed describing him as a ‘misinformed minister of information’ following his insistence that the CNN report on the Lekki Toll Gate shooting was one-sided and deliberately left out some key information to foster a sinister narrative.

Mohammed had described the CNN investigated report as “irresponsible journalism” and demanded a retraction and sanctioning of the anchor of the report and the broadcaster. He also threatened to disclose the actual intention of DJ Switch over her inconsistent account of the incident.

“DJ Switch is a fraudster whose intention is to tarnish the image of Nigeria with false news,” the minister had said.

Reacting, DJ Switch took to her Twitter handle to chastise the minister saying that the only truth about him is the name, which is Lai.

She revealed that it has not been easy for her since she streamed the shooting incident, which left several protesters wounded, and at least two dead.

She said: “How can a minister of information be so misinformed. The only believable thing about him, is his name Lai.

“Unfortunately sir, the truth is a very stubborn thing!

“Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers. Its hasn’t been easy for me but the need to speak up is more important than their bullying.”
