Explosion In Oando Tank Farm, Apapa Lagos

An explosion in a tank farm belonging to Oando Plc located in the Apapa area of Lagos sparked a major fire outbreak on Thursday disrupting operations at the depot.

Witnesses say many people were injured by the fire that resulted from the explosion.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), in a tweet, urged Lagosians to remain calm.

“The agency has activated its emergency response plan, relevant stakeholders have commenced appropriate measures to combat the flames and prevent secondary incidents. Lagosians are urged to remain calm,” the agency tweeted.
