ABIA GOV, THEODORE ORJI DECLARES FOR APGA

By NBF News

Abia State Governor, Dr Theodore Orji has declared for the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA). Speaking to newsmen in Umuahia, his aide on Print Media, Chief Joshua Ogbonna, said the governor left the People Progressive Alliance, (PPA) as a result of the irreconcilable and crises that have bedeviled the party in recent times.

'One will recall that the national chairmanship of PPA and members of his national Working Committee (NWC) have been busy making the party uncomfortable for the governor to the point of even blackmailing him. This is even surprising when one recalls that on May 29, at OUK Stadium, the National Chairman , Larry Esin extolled the virtues of the governor and told the cheering crowd that he has performed beyond their expectations and has been endorsed for a second tenure.

'Also when the people of Abia North Senatorial zone received him, the state chairman, Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha also extolled his qualities and said that he had been endorsed for a second tenure. It was surprising that in less than one month, Abia is hearing a different tone from the same people.

The question is , who is deceiving who?
'Since they have made the party uncomfortable for him, he had no choice but to find solace in a more disciplined focused and people-oriented party which is APGA. On July 2, the leadership of the party led by DIM Odimegwu Ojukwu, Peter Obi and National Chairman of the party , Chief Victor Umeh, will be in Umuahia to receive Governor Orji into their party,' he said.
