Gwoza Youths Condemn Attacks on Gov Zulum, Urges FG, Security Agencies to Intensify Strategies

Gwoza Youths Community Watch Forum (GYCWF) has condemned in strong terms and in totality the serial attacks on the convoy of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno state.This remark was made Friday at a press briefing with journalists held at the NUJ Press Center Maiduguri.

The forum also called on the federal government, all relevant securities agencies and major security stakeholders to intensify strategies towards ending the incessant attacks on the governor and any other further attack on the governor or anybody in the state.

The Chairman of the Forum, Engineer Mohammed Hamman Saleh who stated this while briefing journalists at the NUJ Press Center Friday said the attacks were complete threats to the governor's intention and determination to fight insurgency and resettle IDPs back to their ancestral homes which they remain grateful to all security agencies especially those at the battle field.

The forum further described the serial attacks on Governor Zulum as extremely disheartening and bottle neck to the fight against boko haram insurgents while commiserating with the governor, families of the fallen heroes and those wounded.

The Forum also commended the governor for taking the bull by the horn despite all odds to resettle IDPs back to their ancestral homes to continue their normal life, urging this governor and security agencies not to relent on their efforts or deterred to deliver good governance.

The Chairman called on Borno citizens to continue to be prayerful and supportive to the governor as well as remain vigilant while appreciating the solidarity of Borno citizens in diaspora to the governor.
