OHANAEZE DEMANDS APOLOGY FROM BROWLING REPS

By NBF News

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State has frowned at the 'show of shame' exhibited by the House of Representatives members and demanded an unreserved apology from the Speaker, Mr. Dimeji Bankole and his colleagues.

The body in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Chief Louis Okafor requested well meaning Nigerians to stand up and condemn in its totality the brawl in the hallowed chamber of the House of Representatives.

According to him, 'Ohanaeze is pained that fisticuffs and bare wrestling contest have become the tradition of our National Assembly. It is even more painful that the fight was for pecuniary interest of the members rather than that of Nigerians they are representing.

'While we condemn in its totality the manner some of the Progressives group go about putting forward their grievances, we will not forget that they have the right to be heard and their allegations investigated rather than being boxed into coma from multiple kicks by their fellow colleagues.'
