Ebonyi Provides Conducive Environment For Business To Thrive.
Ebonyi state government has reiterated its commitment towards providing adequate security and conducive environment for all sorts of business to thrive in the state.
Commissioner for Business Development, Dr Stephen Odo made this remarks in an interactive session with newsmen in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state.
Dr. Odo said the state government has done her best to make sure that every investor is comfortable by providing all necessary facilities and incentives for investment to thrive and encourage investors.
He also said that part of the measures put in place for business to thrive in the state include tax reduction and excluding some categories of businesses from paying tax which he said has made Ebonyi tax and investment friendly.
The Commissioner stated that the state in her quest for speedy development has embarked on local investment, adding that his ministry is driving major ideology of encouraging local content in the state.
He pointed out that presently the state is using her local Engineers in different minitries to deliver solid projects that will stand the test of time.
He called on investors both local and foreign to take advantage of the facilities on ground in the state and invest as such would help the state to develop rapidly.
One good thing for any investor and any programme in Ebonyi state is investors can sleep with their eyes closed because we are assuring you of security and nice environment. You've been able to move round and you will agree with me that investors can cope here .
"We are Tax friendly if you go round other Southeast states, you we will agree with me that we are Tax friendly.
"We are the only state that have passed income law and it is only cross River that have passed similar law that excludes some categories from paying Tax. I want to tell you that Ebonyi state is Tax friendly and investment friendly and we are one of the states that passed investment law that gives investors support and free land.
"We are using Engineers in ministries of Works, Housing and Ministry of Project Monitoring with the combination of different other ministries in Ebonyi state to deliver solid projects".
