Covid-19: SPDC & NNPC Donates Medical Equipments to Imo Gov't

The Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) in unism with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC has donated medical equipments to the Imo Government to help fight the scourge of the coronavirus pandemic in the state.

The Nigerian Voice reports that the medical items donated included;

1. PCR Machine Mic 4 2020 Model (COVID-19 tests)
2. PCR Extraction Kits and test Kits for 200 test.
3.Pulse Oximeter
4. Critical care hospital beds and Mattresses.
5. ICU Ambulance
6. AED Machine
7. Suction Machines
8. Infra-red Thermometers
9. Respiratory Nebulizers
10. Oxygen Concentrators
11. N95 Face masks
12. Nitrile procedure gloves (Blue color-short)
13. Disposable High tech coverall Dupont Tychem 2000

14. Surgical Face mask
15. Gum boots
16. Google and Face Shields
17. Hand Sanitizers
18. Long Stretchers on wheel
19. Folding Stretchers.
Presenting the items to the state government on Thursday in Owerri at the Govt. House, the representatives of the firms, said they were aware of the deficit in medical gears & challenges posed by the pandemic explaining that, that was why they have committed funds to aid the fight against the disease.

They described the donation as part of their way of assisting the state government in the fight against the pandemic in line with social cooperate responsibilities that they have to live up to.

Receiving the items on behalf of the state government, the Deputy Governor, Prof. Placid Njoku appreciated SPDC & NNPC for the gesture promising that the items would be put to good use in line with the efforts of the government to contain the spread of the disease in the state.

He also sought for the continued support from the cooperations in the policies and programmes of the state government.

Present at the occasion were; the Chairman of Imo State COVID-19 Taskforce, Professor Maurice Iwu, the Commissioner of Health, Dr. Mrs. Damaris Osunkwo, Deputy Chief of Staff Operations, Barr. Sydney Agbor & other top functionaries of the shared prosperity government including gentlemen & ladies of the Press.
