Police Arraign Two Men For Attempt Murder

The Osun State Police Command, Osogbo today arraigned two men, Ajibola Kamorudeen and Mohammad Ismael for attempted murder and causing grievous harm to one Ajayi Tunde.

The Police Prosecutor, ASP Idoko John told the court that the accused person committed the offence on 25th of May, 2020 at about 05:30am at Atamudo-Oba area, Modakeke, Osun State.

ASP Idoko John said the accussed person armed themselves with cutlasses and other dangerous weapon and attempted to kill one Ajayi Tunde by inflicting deep cuts on him.

The prosecutor also said that the accused person did with intent to disfigure or disable, cut off the left hand of one Ajayi Tunde which caused him grievous harm.

The prosecutor stated that the offence committed by the acussed person was contrary to and punishable under Section 516, 320 and 332 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.

The acussed person pleaded not guilty of the offense levelled against them.

The Defense Counsel, Joseph Amori applied for the bail of the acussed person in the most liberal term.

The Magistrate, Module Awodele admitted to the bail of the accused person in the sum of N 500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

She adjourned the case till 22nd of June, 2020 for mention at Modakeke Magistrate court.
