June 3: Jesus Christ Will Surely Come Again!

By Bassey Ekong

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” Revelation 1:7 (KJV). The Word of God is clear on the second coming of Jesus Christ. Everyone must be ready. It will come suddenly so let's keep our heart pure and be ready every time and moments of our journey here on earth. Praise the Lord for that great day! Hallelujah to the lamb of God.

The opening scripture is just one of the scriptures that show that the second coming of Jesus Christ is definite. The Most High God doesn’t rush in His dealings with human beings however, and this could also be seen in the life of His dearest Son, Jesus Christ, in His ministry on Earth.

It is not the will of the Father that people should perish, so He has given more time for many to make that vital decision to be saved (see 2 Peter 3:9). In other words, I suppose, because it is written nowhere in the Scripture, the purpose of the delay of Jesus Christ’s second coming is to give many people that chance to obtain salvation through His Mercy.

Those who will mourn and wail at His coming are the ones who rejected Him; thus, the fear of judgment is making them mourn and wail. Dearly beloved, if you are not born again, repent and accept Jesus Christ into your life. If you are already born again, let others know that their life on Earth could come to an end at any time; therefore, it is important to make the decision to accept Jesus now and be saved.

However, rebirth and salvation will open the way for a person to do things the Christ’s way. That includes shining the light of God to show others the way of salvation. It more or less involves becoming like Christ to others. Please read Matthew 25:31-46. Be a soul winner today and be blessed. Hallelujah! Note: Let’s all live our daily lives as if dressed to go somewhere, and that should be in readiness for Christ’s second coming. Let the Word and everything happening in the world help us to understand that the time could be short but we don’t know.

Let’s pray: Dear Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and accept You into my life. Please make me a soul winner to lead many people to salvation. My father, let my life be an epistle for people to read and draw near to You in Jesus name. Lord Jesus let your light shine over us, Your people. Amen
