Imo Artisans are great assets to our local economy says Noble Atulegwu

The Imo State Commissioner for Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition, Hon. Noble Atulegwu Abiaso has described artisans in Imo State as great economic contributors & assets of the local economy.

In a courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition by the leadership of artisans in the Imo State Association of Artisans Development (ASSARD), the group used the opportunity to congratulate Hon. Noble Atulegwu on his appointment as well extending hands of partnership with the government.

Pastor Reginald Obi, the leader of the group, in his address, attested to the fact that it was virtually difficult to attain balanced and sustainable economic growth by depending only on large business organisations operating within the state and thanked the Governor, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma for carving out a Ministry specifically for entrepreneurship and skills acquisition in Imo State, adding that the Governor surely understands that entrepreneurs have good roles to play in building a prosperous & enviable state.

Furthermore, the chairman of the association stated that the association comprises of not less than eight trade unions such as Aluminum Fabricators, Plant Technicians, Electronic Technicians, Plumbers Association, Printers Association, Welders Union, Refrigerator/Air Conditioners Associations and so on. He told Hon. Noble Atulegwu Abiaso that, their association has confidence in the government of Imo shared prosperity and went on to state their unalloyed supports to the State Government in achieving her agenda of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery in Imo State.

Addressing the leadership of Imo State Association of Artisans Development, the Honourable Commissioner assured them of the State Government's support in uplifting artisans in the State and protecting their welfare. In his words, the Honourable Commissioner for Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition said "Governor Hope Uzodinma has come to work and he is working." He called on them to always support the present government that is proactive in delivering dividends of democracy to the people.
