Covid19: Borno State Discharges 2 Patients After Second Negative Test, More Patients To. Be Discharged Monday

As 7 Quarantined Persons Test Positive

The Borno State Commissioner of Informatiion, Home Affairs and Culture, Malam Babakura Abba Jato has said that so far two patients at the State Isolation Center, Abba Kyari Memorial Hospital Bolori has been discharged after their first and second confirmatory tests.

He added that more patients are expected to be discharged after their second confirmatory test haven undergone the first confirmatory test and now awaiting the result of their second confirmatory test on Monday next week.

The commissioner who disclosed this Thursday at the media update on COVID-19 on behalf of the high powered response team for the prevention and control of COVID19 in the state held at the Multi purpose hall of the Governemnt House Maiduguri. He further said that 7 individuals tested positive out of the over 100 people that were quarantined at the Maiduguri Hajj Camp along Jos Road since the commencement of the lockdown two weeks ago who came from different parts of the country to enter Maiduguri town.

He noted that those who tested negative were allowed to join their families and relations while the seven positive cases were moved to the Abba Kyari State Isolation Center, Bolori Maiduguri.

Abba Jato further said that the committee was still working assidously to ensure the safety of the people and mobilise the public to.imbibe personal hygiene.
