IYC President Celebrates Niger Delta Icon @48

The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), President, Pereotubo Oweilaemi, Esq., has congratulated a former Niger Warlord, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, on his 48th birthday.

Barr Oweilaemi, said: "I congratulate our amiable son and former Warlord who fought for the freedom of the Niger Delta region, High Chief Government Ekpmupolo, aka Tompolo, on the auspicious occasion of your birthday anniversary".

In a statement Friday signed by the IYC president, and made available to newsmen in Asaba, he described Tompolo, as an illustrious Ijaw son with a passion to identify with the Niger Delta region particularly the Ijaw nation and love for the entire Delta state.

According to Oweilaemi, "As a leader, I must say you have done greatly in helping the Ijaw nation in advancing the course of good governance across the region particularly Delta State for the good of all Deltans irrespective of political, social and ethnic cleavages. I know that together in our individual and collective capacities, we will achieve a lot imbibing the spirit of brotherhood, solidarity and purpose".

He prayed God to richly bless him as he continue to contribute his quota to the development of the state and fatherland, "congratulations on your birthday. Many more fruitful years of celebration", the release added.
