Exercise Patient With Ihedioha Pdp Scribe Advise Seekers Of Political Appointment

Worried by the number of people seeking political appointments in the yet to be sworn in administration of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, the PDP Imo State Governor-Elect, Chief Ray Emeana has advised them to exercise patient as not every body will be given political position in the forth coming political dispensation.

Emeana who is Imo State Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) disclosed this over the weekend at a popular hotel in Owerri while speaking as guest speaker during a victory dinner party organized by members of Imo Liberation Movement in honour of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha for winning the state gubernatorial election during the last elections conducted by INEC .

According to the scribe "The test of your support and sacrifices will be appreciated after the swearing in of the Governor Elect and his Deputy. Many of you are carrying their CV's looking for political appointments, the truth is that not every body will be given appointment now some will even be remembered during second tenure, the name of the game is patience and steadfastness" he advised.

Earlier in his welcome address, Comrade Chukwuemeka Nwokeke, the Director General, Imo Liberation Movement recalled that three years ago the Governor Elect invited 11 of them and inaugurated the organization and with a mandate to propagate the message of liberating the state from the shackles of bad governance and enthronement of a man of pedigree and antecedents for visionary and purposeful leadership.

Nwokeke popularly known as Iroko in Imo and national political circle pointed out that "It can never be over emphasized that the quest to governor Imo State has been a life time agenda for Ihedioha . His attitude to the project has been that of consistency, his planning has been qualitative, his doggedness has been classic, and obviously he knew what he wanted. Consequently, those who followed the project for Imo governorship drive were not in doubt that victory was in insight, thus makes the party phenomenal" he revealed.

The chairman of the well attended party, Chief Chineme Iheaku (Okosisi) commended members of the organization for being pivots in God's hand of liberating the state from misrule and familiocracy.

Iheaku described Ihedioha as a man of the people and assured that his administration will usher in tremendous transformation and re building of the state's battered socioeconomic retrogression.

He enjoined members of the group to remain steadfast in their support and cooperation to the in coming government as well as the need to mobilize more people into their organization.

In her speech, Her Excellency Ambassador Kema Chikwe , one time National Woman Leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) noted that the Governor Elect is a man of character and implicit confidence.

Chikwe informed that the Governor Elect told her during the electioneering campaign that he deliberately and strategically used the ordinary people as a back bone of his campaign structures and marketing of his candidature and the strategies worked out.

She also advised them on the need to encourage the Governor Elect in his mission and vision for rendering good and purposeful governance.

Similarly, Barr.Charles Ezekwem , the Imo state Chairman of PDP reiterated his confidence on Ihedioha in restoring smiles on the faces of Imolites stressing that the Liberation Movement was part of the political party's success story.

Ezekwem pointed out some stringent measures the state leadership adopted to ensure the party's victory which he lamented that some party members misunderstood him and painted him black.

He canvassed on the need for people to be selfless and cautioned against discrediting people and solicited their support for the in coming government.

Eminent personalities among whom are Sir Vin Udokwu , Mrs Anagam Ononuju, Hon Benji Azike, Sir Ambrose Ejiogu and Barr. Golden Nwosu among others graced the ocassion.
