Egypt's National Team Storms Asaba Ahead Of Friendly

Ahead of the friendly clash between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Pharaoh's of Egytp, the national team of Egypt has enroute Niger Republic to the Asaba International airport, Delta State.

The friendly match which would take place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba, by 4:00pm would see spectators and other foreigners thronging the stadium.

Briefing newsmen as soon as they arrived the Asaba International airport, at about 1:45pm Sunday, the second Coach of the Pharaohs of Egypt, Tito Sajivan in an interview, expressed hope that they would beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

According to him, "This is a very important match because Nigeria is a strong team and it is our last chance for the tournament as we are playing away".

He said they would do their best to win as they have already lost three points in their match against the Eagles of Niger on Friday before leaving for Nigeria.

Asked on their strength against their opponent, he hinted: "Of course we are a strong team but Nigeria is also a strong team.

"To us this match is critical and we have a crop of young players here and the right players for the match.

'We came enroute Niger to Asaba, we played yesterday against Niger where we draw 1:1, in a group match.

"We have 24 players on board for the Tuesday friendly with Nigeria with the whole delegation numbering about 50, revealing that Mohammed El-neny is the captain in the tournament. FIFA used the friendly match to select players for the tournament.
