Shettima Urges Damask People to be United, Shun Violence

Givernor Kashim Shettima of Borno State has appealed to people of Mobbar LGA of the state to be united and distance themselves from any violence before, during and after elections.

He also called on the people to remain loyal and supportive to the ruling APC party having benefitted from the government with some of their people occupying various positions in government

The governor who stated this yesterday in Damsak during his campaign tour to the LGA said the ruling party has been making concerted efrots in collaboration with the appropriate authorities at the state and national levels to ensure that communities destroyed by the Boko Haram insurgents were rebuilt and all the basic infrastructural facilities rehabilated for the return of the remaining IDPs.

He further enjoined the people to remain steadfast and vote APC candidates contesting political positions in the forthcoming general elections at the state and federal levels while presenting the 2019 APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Professor Banagana Umara Zulum, Senator Abu Kyari as Senator representing Borno North senatorial district and other candidates contesting House of Representatives and State Assembly positions.

Recieving decampees from the opposition party, PDP including wards and LGA executives, Shettima called on the people to live together in peace, love and harmony with one another and be their brother's keeper.

He also assured the people that government will continue to serve and provide them with security, electricity, water supply, schools and hospitals in all the communities, citing Kareto town as one of the communities that government is assiduously rebuilding to resettle the IDPs displaced by the Boko Haram insurgents.
