Two University staff kidnapped in Osun

Two staff of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State have been kidnapped by some gunmen and one person whose identity could not be ascertained was shot by the kidnappers.

The two staff of the university were said to have been kidnapped at Ile-ogbo junction, along Iwo-Osogbo road on Monday evening.

It was gathered that the kidnappers shot one person and that the person was rushed to hospital by police and the locals.

The Police Public Relations Officer for Osun State Police Command, Folashade Odoro confirmed the incident in a telephone conversation with The Nigerian Voice.

Odoro said policemen are combing the bush in the area to rescue those kidnapped and arrest the kidnapers.
