RELEASE UWAZURUIKE'S CARS, MASSOB URGES JONATHAN

President Goodluck Jonathan has been told to prevail on the State Security Services, (SSS) to release Chief Ralph Uwazurike's vehicles confiscated five years ago by the security agents when they raided the MASSOB leader's Freedom House at Okwe, Okigwe, Imo State.

The MASSOB Deputy Director of Information, Mazi Chris Mocha in a chat with journalists at Amasiri Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi during the organization's general convention in the state lamented that the vehicles had been in the custody of the security agent since then and wondered why they should continue to them when Uwazurike has not been found guilty of contravening any Nigerian the law or involved in any criminal act.

Mocha argued that the SSS had no justification to still hold on to the three SUV 'since our leader is not under investigation and no court of law has found him guilty or any criminal involvement.' He demanded that the vehicles should not be further with-held since MASSOB is a non violent organization, and pleaded with the president to use his position to effect the release of the vehicles.

'The MASSOB leader is entitled to use any brand of car when he is not a criminal and not under any investigation,' he said. Similarly, in an address to the members of MASSOB who converged at Amasiri for the convention, the National Director of Information, Ebonyi south 11 Regional administrator, Comrade Uchenna Madu was grieved that nine of the organizations members were still languishing at Abakaliki prisons because of their strong support for MASSOB.

He appealed to the United Nation's Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon, the International community and lovers of freedom and justice to intervene on their political detention, stressing that no amount of intimidation, harassment, arrest, detention and killings from the government of Nigeria in Ebonyi State would deter them from their moral conviction of their survival which Biafra, God, humanity and history being on their side Biafra revolution cannot be destroyed.

At the convention were some chieftains of the organization from various arms of the organization including, the Biafran Red Cross and the Christian Association of Biafra.
