PRAYER HELD FOR LATE ZAINAB MUSA-KPEROGI

The seventh-day prayer for late Assistant Editor of Weekly Trust, Hajiya Zainab Kperogi, who died last Friday in a motor accident along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway was held yesterday in Kaduna. Leading the prayer, Imam Jamiyu Arikewuyo, Chief Imam of Offa Central Mosque, Kaduna prayed Allah to grant late Hajiya Zainab Aljannah Firdaus. He urged her family members and friends to continue to pray for her.The prayer session was attended by many of her family members, friends and her colleagues from Media Trust Limited (MTL), who came in from Abuja, Kaduna and Kano states. Comrade Issa Aremu, Vice President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) also attended the prayer. The leader of the MTL management delegation, Alhassan Yusuf, who is also the Human Resource Manager of the company, described late Hajiya Zainab Kperogi as a hardworking and dedicated staff.

'With the way people are speaking well of her shows that she spent her life well. On behalf of the Board of Directors, management and the entire staff of the company across the country, we pray Allah to grant her Paradise. We also pray Allah to give her family the fortitude to bear her passage. May Almighty Allah guide and protect the children she left behind,'' he prayed.

Yusuf said the management of the company has opened two condolence registers for the deceased in Abuja.Similarly, Andy Ike Ezeani, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, paid a condolence visit to Media Trust office annex in Utako, Abuja. 'On behalf of the Chairman and the entire INEC, I hereby extend heartfelt sympathy on the death of Zaina Musa-Kperogi.' The late journalist, he added, was widely known to be hard-working and dedicated, said Ezeani. 'May God grant her family, friends and colleagues, the fortitude to bear the loss,' he added.
