Jega is INEC Chairman

Former chairman of the Academic Staff union of Universities (ASUU), Attahiru Jega, is the new boss of the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC)

Jega replaces Maurice iwu who was fired recently, weeks before his tenure expired in June .

President Goodluck Jonathan is expected to forward his name alongside the state electoral commissioners, to the senate for confirmation.
