Delta House Of Assembly Confirms Receiving Constitution Amendment Bill From NASS

The Delta State House of Assembly has received the transmitted copy of the Constitution Amendment Bill from the National Assembly (NASS), The Nigerian Voice can authoritatively report.

Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Sheriff Oborevwori, said Thursday revealed that the House received the transmitted copy of the Constitution Amendment Bill in a statement.

According to the statement, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Dennis Otu, to the Speaker said: “The transmitted copy of the Constitution Amendment Bill has been received by the Delta State House of Assembly and is receiving adequate attention”.

He assured Deltans and Nigerians that the House, which according to him, is the most vibrant in the country would do the needful,

The Speaker said; “We are out to serve the people and we cannot afford to do otherwise. Deltans should be rest assured that the needful will be done for the betterment and progress of the state and its people and Nigerians at large. The needful is going to be done for our people as far as the Constitution Amendment is concerned. Issues for amendment will be subjected to extensive debate and decisions will be taken through Majority votes”, the Speaker reassured.
