Keep Faith With Rescue Mission: Madumere Urges Owerri Youths

The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has called on Owerri youths to keep faith with Owelle Rochas Okorocha led Rescue Mission government, promising the government is poised to transform the landscape of State to become a hub for economic activities in the South East.

The Deputy Governor made the call while receiving in audience an enlightenment youth group under the aegis of Owerri Youth Enlightenment Organisation led by its President, Comrade Adiele Churchill in his country home in Achi, Ezi-Mbieri, Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State yesterday .

He enjoined the youths who are the chief beneficiaries of free and qualitative education policy of Owelle Rochas Okorocha led administration to rise to the occasion in explaining the prospective benefits of education to their future, the State and the nation at large.

Explaining further, Prince Madumere in his entreaties averred that the greater percentage of infrastructure in the State is in Owerri, since it is both the economic and political capital.

He therefore charged the youth enlightenment group to up their effort in ensuring the people of Imo state know the true state of the State and honest picture of the dividends so far provided for the uplift of the people of the State by Owelle Rochas Okorocha administartion.

Earlier, leader of the group, Comrade Churchill Adiele eulogized the Deputy Governor of the State, Prince Madumere for his humility and sincerity of purpose, which has given Governor Okorocha peace and latitude perform optimally.

Speaking further he said: “Our youth friendly Deputy Governor, we know your background as a great administrator and management expert, who has used his talent and expertise to groom some of the high profile young leaders in the State and beyond. We are here in appreciation of your good nature, humility and great supportive role you have been playing to ensure there is stability and progress in the State. In terms of accessibility, we feel it is strange for Chief executive to always pick calls and reply messages but yours is different. These are the reasons we have come to identify with you and to encourage you to continue in your leadership style. We shall be ready to handle any assignment you may wish us to accomplish.”

High point of the courtesy call was the presentation of plaque signifying an award of Excellence in leadership and as the Most Accessible Deputy Governor in Nigeria.

The group also elected the Deputy Governor of the State as their patron, which he accepted, promising to give them the needed support to achieve the goal of the organization.
