A dealer on Oil Palm product, Obinna Ani, has pleaded with the Delta State government for support to enable him expand his entrepreneurial skill in cannel seeds.

Our correspondent who ran into Ani’s cannel processing factory, Friday, along the Agbor-Benin Expressway, Agbor, bagging cannel seeds manually for sale said he bags over 200 bags daily.

He revealed that the seeds are used for groundnut oil, cream and fish feeds among other products, “this is cannel, we are using it for groundnut oil, cream and some poultry feeds like fish and many more”.

According to him, the seeds are transported to Lagos, Ibadan (Oyo State), Onitsha (Anambra State), Port Harcourt (River State) and Enugu State where they are processed.

He said the raw materials (cannel seeds) are sourced from Agbor, “we bag over a 100 and sometimes 200 and above to other processing companies”.

“We supply to Amobi Company in Onitsha. They are the ones processing them to groundnut oil, cream and fish feeds”, disclosing that a bag of the cannel seed is sold for N3, 000.

“We need government at all levels to intervene in order for us to be able to meet the demands of customers”, he appealed.
