Assuring them of justice, he said; “I understand your pains and grief. You are all aware that I am as pained if not more infuriated by the unfortunate incident that snuffed-out a life out of a promising youngster like Uchenna. It is even more worrisome that he was never known to be a bad boy but an easy going person. Most of you who know me would understand that I will not yield for what is not right. In this vexed matter, the law must take its course. It is justice for Uchenna or nothing. This is to serve as a deterrent to others who might think they can get away with any act of lawlessness; he submitted”

He however promised the family that their son’s death will never be in vein. The Deputy Governor spent time with late Uchenna’s mother, grandmother and father individually.

In response, the youth of the community led by Comrade Bethel Iwaoha thanked the Deputy Governor for showing as usual his concern and for his proactive measures to ensure that normalcy returned to the community.
