Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian marry in fairy tale New Orleans wedding

On Thursday (Nov. 16) evening, tennis champion, Serena Williams and Reddit founder, Alexis Ohanian tied the knot in front of an intimate group of family and friends!
The event happened at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans with a guest list that included sister Venus Williams, Ciara, La La Anthony, Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Tina and Richard Lawson, Eva Longoria and Selita Ebanks. Also in attendance was Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, who’s said to be getting the exclusive pictures on the lavish event.
As reported by The Daily Mail , the ceremony had a Beauty and the Beast theme, tennis-inspired trophies as wedding favors and a traditional brass band that captured the spirit of the Big Easy. Members of New Edition —Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant— also performed for the wedding.
Guests enjoyed musical performances, an outdoor cocktail reception, a custom-built carousel and doughnuts from local favorite District Donuts.
Williams and Ohanian were spotted in New Orleans a few weeks before, when they were planning the big day. Engaged in Dec 2016, the happy couple dated for over a year before they made it public —and welcomed their first child, Alexis Ohanian Jr., in September.
As reported by People , in early November, the 23-time Grand Slam champion gathered with her friends and family for an all-out girls weekend in New York City. The ladies went to the opulent Baccarat Hotel & Residences, the first hotel from France's eponymous crystal brand, the luxurious weekend included five-star spa treatments, trapeze'ing, tea brunches, and dancing out on the town.
“I felt like a door had been opened to a person who made me want to be my best self,” Ohanian told Vanity Fair about Williams who he met in Paris. “I find myself just wanting to be better by simply being around her because of the standard she holds.”
