Nofisat Marindoti: Man docked for not supplying planks to customers in Osun

A 35-year old man, Akanni Olayinka has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Osogbo, Osun State for allegedly failing to deliver planks to his customers as promised.

Prosecutor Bukola Adekunle told the court that the accused on the 23rd of September at Power line area in Osogbo, unlawfully obtained the sum of N130,000 from one Abdulsalaam Olaide under pretense of supplying him some planks.

Adekunle said the accused on the same day, also unlawfully obtained N16,500 from one Motunrayo Ayanwole with the promise of supplying some planks to her.

The Prosecutor explained that the accused didn't eventually suplyed the planks to any of the complainants and that the offence contravened section 390(9) and 419 of the Criminal Code Cap 34, volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003,

The accused however pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him and his counsel, Barrister Okobe Najite prayed the court for his bail in the most liberal terms.

In his ruling, Magistrate Ashiru Ayeni granted the accuse bail of N100,000 with two sureties in the like sum and adjourned the case till the 15th of December.
