Get out the Vote, get others to vote and vote Smart in Michigan's General Election:

The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) urges all Michigan voters to actively participate in the General elections tomorrow Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

Registered voters are called upon to exercise their precious right to choose the right and fit candidates who will make decisions that affect our lives. As in every election, especially the local ones, every vote matters. AHRC-USA encourages all Michigan residents to cast a smart and informed vote. In a democracy, voting matters.

AHRC affirms that it is important for Arab and Muslim Americans to vote. Voting is a key way that citizens make their voice heard in the political system. AHRC urges all candidates to remain positive and not turn elections into spectacles for mud-slinging that would ultimately depress turnout.

AHRC calls upon all to volunteer to provide assistance to those with special needs on Election Day. Polls open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. For any assistance regarding the location of your polling post, please visit: Michigan Voter Information Center.

"Voting is a civic duty and the right to vote is a precious right. I urge a strong turnout, turnout is key," said Dr. Opada Alzohaili, AHRC's board President.

"Voters are presented with a number of candidates running for all kinds of political offices," said Imad Hamad, AHRC Executive Director. "There is no excuse to not take part in the most important act of citizenship, voting," added Hamad.
