Senator hope Uzodimma the serving senator representing Imo West Senatorial District said what the people of Imo need most is good governance, a true government that care, that will alleviate poverty, create employment opportunities and other basic needs.

The Orlu zone senator stated this during the dinner he hosted on Sunday last week to honour members of Peoples Democratic Party stakeholders and supporters from Imo state came in solidarity to grace his recent award as the best outstanding senator in Nigeria for 2017 giving to him by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, in Abuja.

He advised his supporters to be committed, focus and disregard the unnecessary distractions from political opposition especially in Imo. He said some politicians are peddling false rumours about him. He regretted that of recent Hon Emeka Ihedioha was quoted to have said that he (Uzodimma) is in purgatory, he pointed out that he has no time to join issue with Ihedioha because he is a “small boy” to him. He said him Uzodimma speaks with facts that when he contested election in 2007, Ihedioha was his L.G.A coordinator for Aboh Mbaise LGA.

He hinted that politically Ihedioha is far his junior, hence there is no basis for comparism and heating up the polity between him and Ihedioha. The Chairman Senate Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariff, urged his supporters that this is the time to work for PDP and promised that he will try his best as he used to by encouraging them pointing out that “research has shown that any person who can give out resources to his followers and what he believed in more than I do could be said to have a psychiatric problem”

He assured that he will continue to support and take care of the welfare and well being of his subjects.

Sen Uzodimma said Imo people have a common enemy which all should collectively come together to ensure that good governance is restored in Imo. He frowned at the level of untold hardship Imo people are experiencing in Okorocha’s government. He said with their togetherness he will lead Imo PDP from the hand of dictatorial government in 2019 general election.
