Arising from the success of the previous edition; the Society of Young Nigerian Writers, Anambra State Chapter in collaboration with Anambra State Central E-Library, is set to honour and celebrate a Literary Pioneer and an ebullient indigen of the state - Late Prof. Chinua Achebe. Though dead, Achebe IS the pride of his state (Anambra), his country (Nigeria) and the entire African continent at large.

This programme tagged:

''Remembering CHINUA ACHEBE: A LITERARY GIANT'' is aimed at celebrating the lives, works and the legacies of the late literary champion - Prof. Chinua Achebe, in whose memory it is being held.

Achebe was born on the 16th day of November 1930 in his home town of Ogidi, in the present day Anambra State; and played a great role worthy of recognition, emulation and celebration in the literary field of life. Come let's give honour to whom it is due. The event will feature reading and fracturing of Achebe's works, brief creative writing workshop, recitation of poems and essays; presentation of literary works in the memory of the legend; dramatization of Achebe's works; lectures by notable and resourceful speakers; life and works of Achebe; quiz competitions in the works and life of Achebe; entertainment plus other enticing literary activities and packages slated for the day.
