Teen docked for Stealing N11, 000 in Osun

An 18-year old teenager, Dare Falade has been arraigned before a Magistrate court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State for allegedly stealing N11, 000.

Prosecutor you Olayiwola Rasaq said the accused allegedly entered the shop of one Iyiola Rashidat with intent to commit felony and stole a purse which contains the sum of #11 000, an ATM card amidst other important documents.

The accused was said to have eloped with the purse and was pursued to a nearby river.

Rasaq explained that the offence contravened section 390 of Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol.II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.

The accused however, pleaded not guilty to the two count charge levelled against him.

The counsel for the accused, Barrister Adeyinka Dada, prayed the court for the bail of her client in most liberal terms.

In his ruling, Magistrate Ashiru Ayeni granted the accused person the bail of N100 000 and adjourned the case till 28th of November, 2017.
