Bricklayer arraigned for stealing Osun Govt. Property

A 30-year old bricklayer, Lukman Mustapha has been arraigned before a Magistrate court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State for stealing the state Government property.

Prosecutor Olayiwola Rasaq, said the accused allegedly stole some Iron rods on 22nd of October, 2017 at freedom park, Old garage, Osogbo.

Rasaq who brought the iron rods to court as an evidence, said the offence contravened section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code 34, volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.

The defence counsel, Barrister Adeyinka Dada however applied for the bail of her client after the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.

In his ruling, Magistrate Ashiru Ayeni granted the accused the bail of #50,000 and adjourned the case till 27th of November, 2017.
