George Weah storms TB Joshua's church ahead of Linberia's presidential run off election

Ahead of the Liberian presidential run-off election scheduled for November 7, popular former football star, George Weah, on Sunday visited T B Joshua 's Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun, Lagos State, an online platform Newsrangers has reported.

Weah is contesting against the country's incumbent vice president, Joseph Boakai

According to the newonline, Weah was in the church to seek spiritual help and his visit was confirmed by the founder of the church, TB Joshua.

Weah was accompanied by a former Liberian warlord, Mr. Yormie Johnson.

Johnsons also contested the first round of the election which featured 20 candidates.

Confirming the visit, TB Joshua, during the sermon at the service on Sunday said Weah was in the church because he wanted God's choice for his country in the presidential contest.

His words: “My brother is here today because he loves his country and wants God's choice for his country.

“He is not here to impose himself. What does God say about his country, Liberia? What is God's opinion? That is why he is here.

“We are not herbalists or witch-doctors; we are people of God. God's choice is our choice. We cannot pray against God's will.

“Without God's corresponding power, we cannot pray to Him. For every step we take – every movement and action – intimation comes first.

“There must be suggestion from the Spirit to move before we move. If truly I am a man of God, I must hear from God – move or don't move.

“God's opinion is what we should seek in our country – simple! God is the Answer, the Final.”

Synagogue Church of All Nations had hosted a number of leaders in Africa including Tanzanian President, John Magufuli; former President of Malawi, Joyce Banda and Zimbabwean Prime Minister, Morgan Tsvangarai.
