Man, 20, docked for stealing Lawyer's car in Osun

A 20- year old man, Adedeji Olalekan has been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate court in Osun State for the alleged theft of one Toyota corrola, 2003 model.

Prosecutor, Elijha Olusegun told the court that the accused committed the offence on 26th August, 2017 at No.1 Oladipo street, Road safety area, Osogbo.

Elijha said the accused stole one Toyota corrola, 2003 model with Registration number AKD 67CA value N2,300,000 property of one Barrister Timothy Adedeji.

In the report gathered, Olalekan unlawfully had in his possession, one itel phone valued N 8,500 which was suspected to have been stolen on the same day.

He said the accused committed an offence contrary to section 383(1), 390(9) and 430(1) of the criminal code cap 34 volume II, laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.

The accused thereby pleaded not guilty to the three count charge preferred against him and his counsel, Maruf Adediran, prayed the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.

In her ruling, Magistrate Fatima Sodamade granted the accused bail of N500,000 with one surety and adjourned the case to November 27 for hearing.
