Osun Pharmacists donate vehicle to NAFDAC

The National Association of Industrial Pharmacists, Osun State Chapter, on Tuesday, donated a space bus to the management of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, in the state.

The acting Chairman of the association, Pharmacist Dr. Samuel Olawoye and acting secretary, Pharmacist Richard Komolafe presented the vehicle to NAFDAC at the agency's office in Osogbo, the State capital.

During the presentation, Pharm. Olawoye said the gesture is geared towards promoting the work delivery of the agency, noting that the role of NAFDAC in the country in safeguarding the peoples health cannot be over emphasized.

Meanwhile, the State Coordinator of NAFDAC, Pharm. Oladiran Olakunle and the South West Zonal Coordinator who was also around, Pharm. Yedunni Adunuga appreciated the Pharmacists' gesture.

Adenuga said the bus would be used to improve the agency's monitoring and also surveillance activities to fight against drug counterfeiters.

She also implored other stakeholders to emulate the group by supporting and collaborating with government agencies in order to achieve a better society.
